Spring into September
Another winter is over! We have been having some sneaky warm days already, and we are put in mind of summer days and being outdoors. So it’s time to start thinking about being healthy!
A lot of people got hit with the winter ‘sniffles’ this year, and for a lot of people, the hayfever-sniffles have only just begun. It’s late in the year, and probably the time when we need a bit of a break. By now, we are needing a bit of down-time, yet as soon as we relax into a holiday, we often get sick. We are so often running around on a mix of adrenalin, bad eating habits, lingering colds and general stress.
It’s time for a detox!
Spring is for spring-cleaning. And there are some simple ways to detox your body and your mind.
The ‘new’ healthy eating pyramid calls for about 3 cups of vegetables and about 1.5 cups of fruit per day. That is a lot, but it’s a great thing to aim for. How much fruit do you eat? How many different vegetables are you seeing on your plate? A colourful range of fruit and vegetable every day is an excellent immune booster, antioxidant as well as wonderful for your digestion. You will have more energy, and may notice some good mood changes too! If getting all those vegies and fruits into your diet is a struggle every day, then maybe look at boosting your diet with a ‘super nutrient’ like Vital Greens.
