Petersham & Waterloo Chiropractors

Katrina Hughes - Petersham & Waterloo Chiropractor

Katrina Hughes

Katrina was first introduced to chiropractic at the age of 10, herself having to have regular adjustments as part of her training as a gymnast.  It was here Katrina realised the power it had to transform peoples lives.  She now enjoys keeping fit, having competed in many triathlons from sprint to half ironman distance, but focuses more on her passion for natural health therapies.  Katrina loves helping others realize the magic of chiropractic and assist them to achieve their goals and dreams.

Katrina moved to Sydney to pursue her dream of becoming a Chiropractor in 2000, attended Macquarie University, where she studied a 3 year Bachelor of Chiropractic Science, followed with a 2 year Masters degree in Chiropractic. Katina has continued to further her knowledge to specialise in Nutrition, Paediatrics, Sports and Pregnancy Conditions.  Having come from a strong sporting background, she has a keen interest in integrating Chiropractic with functional rehabilitation, biomechanics, exercise science and nutrition for a holistic approach to health.  She also works very closely with other health professionals to ensure a balanced wellness approach and optimal results are achieved.

In 2006, Katrina decided to do things her way, and took over All Natural Chiropractic in Petersham.  As owner and director, she not only continued to look after to chiropractic health of her patients, but also began to introduce a holistic approach to her clinic, introducing naturopathy, personal training, massage therapy, acupuncture, lifestyle coaching, NLP and functional group fitness classes.  Add to this her passion for health, she also began stocking organic and health product lines so that she would be able to look after not only her patient’s chiropractic health, but also their general well being from every aspect.

Katrina looks forward to meeting you, your family and your friends, and helping you all achieve balance and success with all your health and lifestyle goals.

Daniel Gilmore - Waterloo Chiropractor

Daniel Gilmore

Daniel recently completed his Chiropractic qualification at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. He is interested in how the human body interacts with its environment and how we react to the physical or emotional stresses we impose on ourselves.

Daniel's background is in AFL football, where he played for the Fremantle Dockers for seven years. During his playing days, Daniel received regular Chiropractic care from his father, Ross, who has been a practicing Chiropractor in Perth for 31 years. This allowed Daniel to stay in peak performance and enjoyed injury-free seasons by staying on top of his aches and pains. As a result of his football days, Daniel has developed a keen interest in both general wellbeing and Sports Chiropractic.

Daniel practices the Diversified Technique to provide adjustments to his patients, and he is also interested in Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT). Daniel also uses rehabilitation and soft tissue principles to give the patient the care they need by considering both injury treatment and general wellness.

Because of his background in both sports and Chiropractic care, Daniel is highly motivated to help you with many of the problems you face in your daily life, including headaches, low back pain, musculoskeletal injuries, and general aches and pains. With regular Chiropractic care, Daniel can help your body achieve its full potential and ensure that you attain a better quality of life.

Outside of the clinical setting, Daniel remains involved in elite levels of sport as a Senior Assistant Coach and Elite Performance Development Manager for the University of Sydney AFL club.

Amy Melamet - Petersham Chiropractor

Amy Melamet

Amy graduated from Macquarie University as a Chiropractor with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters in Chiropractic and has continued her education outside of University completing course in Paediatric and Pregnancy Chiropractic. She Certified in Webster Technique, a safe, gentle and effective treatment for Women during pregnancy to balance the pelvis and relieve the back. She also completed courses in Applied Kinesiology, a technique which uses muscle testing to evaluate the integrity of the Nervous System.

She has a passion for kids, women’s health and nutrition and also has a keen interest in sport, which is where her love of Chiropractic began. Following many ankle sprains from 15 years of netball and dancing, Amy was forced to wear an ankle brace for all sporting activities. She did this for 10 years until receiving her first chiropractic adjustment. After 2 Chiropractic treatments, she never had to wear the brace again and incidentally went on to win back-to-back netball grand finals. That’s the power of Chiropractic!

After working on the Northern Beaches and in the Eastern Suburbs, Amy joined the All Natural Chiropractic and Health team and brought with her a wealth of knowledge and a dedication to complete health and wellbeing…Naturally…
